Native Trees with Simple-pinnate Leaves with Lobed Edges
2A. Oaks Trees with lobed leaf edges. The lobes are cut at least one-half the distance into the middle of the leaves. The leaves tend to be three to six inches long. The branches do not have thorns.
2B. Hawthorn: Leaves 3-7 lobed. Leaves generally less than two inches long. Tree has many straight, thin, sharp thorns on the branches.
