Willows are shrubs (some domestic ones are small trees) usually found in very moist areas, including ditches, marshes, along creeks or rivers, or around lakes. They can be very difficult to identify, but typically have long narrow , or elliptical leaves. The species shown on this page may not all be identified correctly!

Pacific (Red) Willow. Found in wet places from sea level to well up into the mountains.


Columbia River Willow. A willow found along the Columbia River.


Variable Willow. A willow of wet areas in mountainous areas.
