What appears to be an unidentified fescue (Festuca sp.) as seen on rocky slopes on the northern flanks of Silver Star Mountain, Gifford Pinchot National Forest...........July 11, 2013. Can you help identify this species? Festuca ovina var. brevifolia is known to be in the area, but this looks too big and has a more open panicle. The elevation here is above 4000'.
