Additional close-up views of Scribner's grass as seen on open slopes in western Klickitat County.........May 12, 2010. Plants range from 3 cm to 16 cm high. The habitat is in open areas with shallow, rocky soils lacking moss and much vegetative cover. It can often be found at the edges of trails and old roads and can occasionally be spotted amongst other grasses in open meadows that are not densely populated by annual or perennial grasses and forbs.
