Membranous Felt Lichen: Peltigera membranacea

Membranous felt lichen as seen along the Oneonta Trail #424 downstream of Triple Falls in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area..........February 1, 2010. The wrinkled margins of some Peltigera collina (or P. malacea) can be observed to the upper left in the photo. Note the tomentose surface of the lobes.
