The Genus Plectritis

 


1. Spurless Corn-salad: Plectritis brachystemon (P. anomala) -

2. Long-spurred Plectritis: Plectritis ciliosa - Flowers pink or rose-colored with a long spur. Corolla lobes generally divided into 2 unequal lips.

3. Rosy Plectritis, Sea Blush, Shortspur Seablush: Plectritis congesta (Synonyms: Plectritis congesta ssp. brachystemon, Plectritis congesta ssp. congesta, Plectritis congesta var. major, Plectritis congesta ssp. nitida) - Flowers pink, shortly spurred. Corolla lobes generally greatly varying in size and shape, 2-lipped.

4. White Plectritis: Plectritis macrocera - Flowers white, with a rounded spur or bump at the base of the corolla. Corolla lobes roughly equal in size and shape.
