Close-up details of marigold navarretia as seen in the mid-Columbia River Gorge.........June 3, 2009. Note that the terminal lobe of the leaves or bracts has several to many short pinnatifid divisions which helps identify this species. The filamens are also much longer than the anthers. The flowers are also a light pastel, bluish color which helps identify it from other Navarretia species that might be present at a site.
