Hood's Sedge
Carex hoodii
The photo above shows the congested inflorescence of Hood's sedge as seen in the parking lot at Hat Pt., Hells Canyon NRA........July 11, 2007. As seen below, each perigynia is brownish with green margins. Plants tend to measure from 30-100 cm high and are typically found on drier, upland sites.
