Many-spiked Bog Cotton, Many-spiked Cottongrass, Narrow-leaved Cottongrass: Eriophorum angustifolium ssp. angustifolium (Synonym: Eriophorum polystachion) - Two or more spikelets present on the stem. Two or more bracts beneath the inflorescence. Bracts generally nearly equal to or longer than the spikes.

Slender Cottongrass: Eriophorum gracile (Synonyms: Eriophorum gracile var. caurianum, Eriophorum gracile var. gracile) - Two or more spikelets present on the stem. One bract beneath the inflorescence. Bract generally much shorter than the inflorescence.

Thinleaf Cottonsedge, Tassel Cottongrass: Eriophorum viridicarinatum (Synonyms: Eriophorum latifolium, Eriophorum latifolilum var. viridicarinatum) - Not confirmed from the area yet.
