Common Green Darner: Anax junius

This common green darner was photographed in a drying riparian area to the west of Lakeside Road in the public hunting area at Conboy Lake NWR........July 16, 2008. This individual is missing the tip of its forward, right wingtip (possibly after an altercation with a bird) which was giving it difficulty in flying.
