The photo above shows a Sheridan's green hairstreak resting on yarrow (Achillea millefolium var. occidentalis) in a riparian area east of Road K1000 on the southeastern slopes of Mt. Adams.........June 3, 2007. This site has both pungent desert parsley (Lomatium grayii) for early nectaring and several buckwheat species for use as host plants.
