A western meadow fritillary observed along the Stagman Ridge Trail #12 at a large meadow near 5300', Mt. Adams Wilderness......July 25, 2019.

This photo shows a small fritillary, probably a western meadow fritillary, as seen in moist sedge meadows along Crofton Creek, just downstream of the crossing of the Crofton Ridge Trail #73........August 22, 2008. It is resting on sidebells wintergreen (Orthillia secunda). A larger fritillary found in the area can be seen on the photo below on pearly everlastings (Anaphalis margaritacea).
