What appears to be Cladonia pyxidata as seen on lava surfaces. Photographed along the Pacific Crest Trail 2000 on the west side of the Big Lava Bed about one-quarter mile south of Forest Service Road 60, Gifford Pinchot National Forest.............November 5, 2012. Note the low, broad-mouthed cups.
