Douglas Aster: Symphyotrichum subspicatum

* Indicates a wildflower currently in bloom.

Water levels along the Columbia River have been higher than normal for late summer and many smaller plants that normally would be found at this date on the mudflats have yet to bloom. Most of the plants listed below were seen above the summer high water mark.

Willow: Salix species

Stinging Nettles: Urtica dioica - In riparian woods near a creek west of the boat ramp.

Pink Smartweed: Persicaria amphibia - Near the boat ramp.

*Willow Weed: Persicaria lapathifolia - Fairly common.

Western Yellow Cress: Rorippa curvisiliqua var. curvisiliqua

Common Silverweed: Potentilla anserina ssp. anserina - Common but not in bloom.

Himalayan Blackberry: Rubus discolor - In fruit

Western False Indigo: Amorpha fruticosa - Common to the east of the boat ramp.

Licorice Root: Glycyrrhiza leptidota var. glutinosa - Common to the east of the boat ramp.

* Red Clover: Trifolium pratense - Near the parking lot.

* Orange Balsam: Impatiens capensis - Common in a creek west of the boat ramp.

* Common Mallow: Malva neglecta - Near the restroom at the parking lot.

* Common Willow Herb: Epilobium watsonii var. occidentale - A few seen.

* Western Water-hemlock: Cicuta douglasii - Common in a creek west of the boat ramp.

* Queen Anne's Lace: Dauca carota - A few blooming near the parking lot.

* Field Mint: Mentha canadensis - Common.

* Bittersweet Nightshade: Solanum dulcamara - A few in bloom along a creek west of the boat ramp.

* American Speedwell: Veronica americana - Found in a creek west of the boat ramp.

* Annual Bursage: Ambrosia acanthicarpa - Fairly common.

* Biennial Wormweed: Artemisia biennis - One seen in bloom at the base of the ramp.

* Nodding Beggar Ticks: Bidens cernua - A few in bloom.

* Chicory: Cichorium intybus - Several seen.

* Western Goldenrod: Euthamia occidentalis - Common.

* Cotton-batting Plant: Gnaphalium chilense - A few along the boat ramp.

* Sneezeweed: Helenium autumnale var. grandiflorum

* Meadow Goldenrod: Solidago lepida var. salebrosa - A few in bloom near the parking area.

* Douglas' Aster: Symphyotrichum subspicatum - Common.

* Common Tansy: Tanacetum vulgare - A few in bloom near the boat ramp.

* Common Cocklebur: Xanthium strumarium - A few in bloom.
