Wildflower Bloom in Central Oregon

Hay Creek Canyon

Mikkalo Rd between Mikkalo, OR and Oregon Highway 206

April 23, 2008

Hay Creek Canyon viewed south from Mikkalo Road............April 23, 2000.

Hay Creek Canyon is a scenic canyon with what appears to have a fair amount of native vegetation on its slopes. However, the gravel road bed is steep, and not maintained during the early season. In addition, the canyon is in private ownership and large signs at the top of both the east and west grades warn anyone about leaving the roadbed.
