Sticky Indian Paintbrush

Synonyms: Castilleja applegatei, Castilleja magnistylis
What appears to be sticky indian paintbrush as seen along the crest of the Hart Mt. ridgeline near the northeastern rim of DeGarmo Canyon, Hart Mt. National Antelope Refuge..........June 9, 2016. Note that the galea is less than half as long as the corolla tube and the lower lip is not inflated nor very prominent.

Close-up images of what appears to be sticky indian paintbrush as seen along the crest of the Hart Mt. ridgeline near the northeastern rim of DeGarmo Canyon, Hart Mt. National Antelope Refuge..........June 9, 2016. Note that the galea is less than half as long as the corolla tube and the lower lip is not inflated nor very prominent. Note also the glandular pubescence of both the calyx and corolla and that the medial clefts of the calyx are slightly longer than the lateral clefts.
