The photo above shows the upper stem leaves and flowers of washington monkey flower as seen on serpentine soils to the south of the Aldrich Mts. of central Oregon........July 15, 2000. Note that the narrow calyx tube and the petiolate stem leaves.
Pulsifer's monkey flower is somewhat similar but the corolla tubbe does not extend quite so far out of the calyx tube and the lower lobes are not as large.
