Pine broomrape blooming in the middle of tall buckwheat (Eriogonum elatum) leaves along the Fremont National Recreation Trail on the west-facing slopes of Twelvemile Peak, Fremont-Winema National Forest........August 2, 2020. Bush oceanspray (Holodiscus microphyllus var. glabrescens), one of the host species for this broomrape were several feet away.
