The millipede shown on this page is a small millipede with a cylindrical
body in cross-section. It is approximately 20 mm in length at its maximum. As
with other millipedes, it is a vegetarian and scavenger, and it coils up tightly
when disturbed. It is also nocturnal, and can often be found by turning over such
items as wood, large rocks, or under thick, rotting vegetation and in the compost
pile.
