[Nucleic Acid Review]

17. Molecule C is DNA while molecule B is m-RNA. DNA is double-stranded while m-RNA is single-stranded. DNA contains the sugar deoxyribose, while m-RNA contains the sugar ribose. Both contain the bases adenine, guanine, and cytosine, but DNA only has the base Thymine while m-RNA only has the base Uracil.

In addition, DNA remains in the nucleus while the m-RNA can leave the nucleus for the cytoplasm.
