Habitat:

Moist shaded woods

Characteristics:

1. White flower, 3 petals, turns purple with age.

2. Whorl of three egg-shaped leaves.

3. Grows from a bulb.

4. If picked, takes several years to bloom again!

Uses:

1. Indian birth root. Bulb juice stops bleeding.

2. Juice gets red out of eyes & for insect bites.
