[Review Flower Menu Week #3]
#7. This wildflower is the Stinging Nettles. Its scientific name is Urtica dioica. I can remember the genus name, Urtica, because this plant can really hurt me!

Stinging nettles may be eaten raw (fold the leaf over so the stingers are on the inside of the folded leaf) or steamed. It is full of vitamins. The stems have fibers that can be used to make paper or cloth.

Possible cures for contact with Stinging Nettles include using the juice from the Red Elderberry leaf, spores from the underside of a Sword Fern, the juices of the Stinging Nettles itself, and to apply a paste of baking soda.
