Habitat:

Damp meadows, open areas, gardens. Often found where the ground has been distrubed.


Characteristics:

1. Small herbs to 1 ft tall

2. Many compound-pinnate leaves at ground level with main stalk tipped by tiny white flowers.

3. Seed pods long thin, often purplish.


Uses or Importances:

1. Considered a garden weed.

2. Washed leaves are used in salads.

3. High in Vitamin C.

4. This plant does replenish nutrients taken from the soil, so it is useful as a winter crop in gardens for this purpose.
