13. The graphs below illustrate 3 different populations. Graph 1 represents a population of fish introduced into a lake. Graph 2 represents the world's human population. Graph 3 represents a population of paramecia (a type of "wee beastie") in a laboratory dish. Study the graphs and then answer the question below.

In graph 1, the line between points B and C is wavybecause the carrying capacity has been reached. The population has roughly leveled off because there is a balance of resources (food, clean water, and habitat) and fish.
