Mammals/Bear Family

Habitat:

Forests, swamps, mountainous areas, & increasingly near urban areas.

Traits:

1. Large, squat animals of black, cinnamon, or tan coloration.

2. They have tiny tails, small ears, and small eyes.

3. The eyesight of bears is generally poor, but their smell is superb.

4. They walk on the entire foot, have short claws to aid tree climbing, and may walk upright. They generally move on all 4 legs.

Omnivores: they have 3 types of teeth and eat a varied diet of meat and plants. The plants may include leaves, berries, twigs, bark, and seeds.
