Habitat:

Soaring in sky, perched in trees, or on ground near carrion.

Traits:

1. Black body & wings (wing tips and rear wing feathers are dark gray).

2. Head is red ( no feathers) which helps it clean its head after feeding & to prevent infection.

3. Six ft. wingspan with wing tips held slightly up to produce a V-shape.

4. Feeds primarily on dead animals.
