Habitat:

Open areas near cliffs, buildings or trees.

Traits:

1) Glossy green-black color on upper body with white rump.

2) White belly.

3) Tail slightly notched.

4) Thin wings make it very maneuverable.

5) It nest on sides of cliffs or buildings.

6) Nests are often made of mud or in holes in cliffs or the sides of buildings.

7) Swallows help get rid of bothersome flying insects.
