15. Homologous organs are body structures found in related species that look much the same because they arose from a related structure in a common ancestor.

Analagous organs are those that have a common function (may look alike or serve the same purpose) but are found in animals that are not directly related.

The wings of an eagle, bat and a grasshopper are all used for flight, but none of these animals has a common ancestor. Their wings are an example of
