ionic bond.
Such bonds form because the atoms involved need full outer
energy levels. Such atoms find it easier to loose or steal electrons from other
atoms to fill these outer energy levels. This then creates atoms with imbalances
of electrons and protons that are known as ions. The positive and negative charges
of the ions involved keep the ions together, forming a weak bond.
