24. The type of vascular tissue found in the vascular bundles of plants that is shown below is xylem. Xylem transports water and minerals throughout the plant.

Xylem can be identified by the helical or ring-shaped thickenings of the cell wall, which have had the strengthening lignin added to the cellulose to help withstand the tremendous inward forces exerted on the xylem cell.
