dominance over the rest of the twig would cease. Since it would no longer be
producing hormones which inhibit the growth of everything below it, all other
buds would have an opportunity to grow larger, forming leaves and branches.
Most likely, one of the buds at B would become the new "dominant"
terminal bud.
