A) The mongoose was introduced to Hawaii to prey on introduced rats. Unfortunately, the mongoose also preys on native birds and animals.

B) The cinnabar moth has been introduced to devour the invasive tansy ragwort, a terrible weed toxic to livestock which also crowds out numerous smaller native plants.
