[Review of Conservation & Biodiversity Issues]

3. Two ethical reasons for the conservation of biodiversity include.........

a) all species have a right to life, whether they are currently useful to humans or not.

b) many species have a cultural connection to local human populations and thus it would be wrong to destroy them. (Ex.- the bengal tiger is important and revered by the Hindus of India.)

c) it would be wrong to deprive future generations of humans the rich diversity of life that exists today.
