17. Molecule C is DNA while molecule
B is m-RNA. DNA is double-stranded while m-RNA
is single-stranded. DNA contains the sugar deoxyribose, while m-RNA contains
the sugar ribose. Both contain the bases adenine, guanine, and cytosine, but
DNA only has the base Thymine while m-RNA only has the base Uracil.
In addition, DNA remains in the nucleus while the m-RNA can
leave the nucleus for the cytoplasm.
