The diagram above illustrates a molecule of t-RNA, also known as transfer RNA. It is a piece of RNA which picks up and carries specific amino acids through the cytoplasm and brings them to the ribosome where it will match the anticodon part of the t-RNA to the codon part of m-RNA (See diagram below.) The amino acid would be carried at the top of the t-RNA molecule seen above.
