1. Estimate the actual size of the microorganism viewed through the microscope. (Click Here.)

2. Draw the microorganism on clean white, unlined paper.

3. Measure the drawing using a metric ruler.

4. Convert this measurement to either mm (millimeters) or µm (micrometers).

5. Calculate the drawing magnification by dividing the drawing measurement by the actual size. (Make sure both measurements are in the same units!)
