25. The term oxidative phosphorylation
means the series of reactions which use the hydrogen ions
and energized electrons carried by NADH or FADH2 to create 32 ATPs during electron
transport . This process is oxidative because it uses the energy obtained
by the oxidation of glucose as NADH or FADH2 were
made during glycolysis or the Krebs Cycle.
