9. An advantage that a C4 plant would have over a C3 or CAM
plant is that the light-independent reactions are not slowed down at all.
Photosynthesis occurs at its maximum rate. Thus plants may
grow quicker and/ or produce more fruit or product. In addition, the plant can
continue photosynthesis using smaller stomata and thus losing less water than
the other methods.
