Slender tarweed as seen between Nickel and Table Mountains on the ridgetop to the north of Cow Creek, about a dozen miles west of Riddle, OR.......June 10, 2017. Note that the flower heads are spaced along the upper stem. Similar Madia sativa has flower heads clustered at and near the end of the stem. This species can have 5-13 ray flowers although the typical number is 8.
