These 4 photos show mountain boykinia as seen in a clearing along the Wolf Creek Falls Trail in the Umpqua National Forest......................June 26, 2005. The photo at upper right, although slightly out of focus, shows the large, leaf-like stipules at the point where each leaf petiole joins the main stem. This is a good way to distinguish this species from the similar Boykinia occidentalis which has smaller, narrow stipules. Click each photo to see an enlarged version (2x).
