Yellow bush lupine as seen along the shoreline at Hatfield Marine Science Center, Newport, OR.......October 7, 2009. This shrubby lupine has woody tissue which allows it to persist through the winter rather than dieing back to the ground. As noted by the name, the flowers of this species are yellowish.
