Blue Mt. Buttercup: Ranunculus populago

The photo above shows Blue Mt. buttercup as seen on the banks of a small stream along the Umatilla Rim Trail #3080 near Tollgate in the Umatilla N.F...........................June 24, 2007. The stems of this species are erect to ascending and do not root at the leaf nodes. The leaves are petiolate and generally are ovate in shape.
