Pink fawnlily as seen in the Coast Range of Oregon........May 21, 2009.
CHARACTERISTICS:
1. Six tepals are a deep, purplish-pink color.
2. Leaves basal, elliptical in shape, with a lightly mottled surface.
3. Stamens pressed agains the stigma.
HABITAT:
The pink fawnlily is found along moist river banks and into light
to moderately thick woods.
RANGE:
The pink fawnlily is found west of the Cascade Mts from Vancouver Island,
B.C. south, spottily through the Puget Trough to southwestern Oregon and northwestern
California.
