Characteristics:

The two leaves are basal, and elliptic or oblong in shape may be up to 6 inches in length.

One white flower is generally borne atop each stem. The 6 tepals (sepals and petals) are similar in shape and are about one inch long. Bloom time is May through July. The pistil develops into a blue, roundish berry after pollination, giving its second name of "bead lily".

This plant spreads via underground rhizomes.


Habitat:

Moist Forests.


Range:

Queeen's Cup is found from Alaska south into California, from the Pacific coast into the Cascade Mts.
