What might be modoc buckwheat as seen on gravelly soils at Rough and Ready Botanical Wayside in southwestern Oregon..........April 29, 2012. Because there is no inflorescence for positive identification, this could also be E. umbellatum var. goodmanii or Eriogonum ternatum which are also present at this site. .
