A close-up of the inflorescence of what appears to be taperfruit shortscale sedge as seen along the Eagle Creek Trail, Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area.........May14, 212. Because I don't have a close-up of the perigynia, there is a chance that this may be Carex bolanderi.
