Douglas' Sedge

Carex douglasii

Douglas' Sedge: Carex douglasii

This sedge appears to be Douglas' sedge. Plants are about a foot high, perhaps slightly longer. The plants shown here appear to all have male spikes. Female plants were not observed during our 2 visits at this site, which consists of vernally inundated meadows at Panakanic in western Klickitat County...........May 17, 2013. I'd want to go and recheck the ID of these plants in case they could be Carex praegracilis or something similar.
