The photo above shows the inflorescence of common cat-tail and flat blade of common cat-tail as seen along the Old Highway about one mile west of the Klickitat River or about one mile east of Major Creek in the central Columbia River Gorge.....................July 7, 2006.

In the Columbia River Gorge, it may be found between the elevations of 0'-200' from the Sandy River east to the Major Creek Plateau.
