Views of the habitat of unidentified quillwort #1, southwestern Klickitat County, Washington..........April 3, 2014. The upper pair of photos show a larger vernal pool which mallards had been in. They had rooted bottom plants which are shown floating on the surace and could be young quillworts. The lower photo shows a small vernal pool near a known location of quillworts with several quillwort like plants around the edge. The upper most photo on this page was taken at this location.
