A large beaver lodge seen on the Oregon shore of the Columbia River Gorge.............November 1, 2013. The lodge is in a small bay with deep water to the entrance. Half the lodge is atop muddy or sandy ground while the other half lies atop a basalt spine. The lodge itself is probably about 50 feet long or so.
